Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) are vital to Alaska’s economy, generating about US$11 billion annually and employing over 17,000 people, which contributes over US$1 billion to Alaska’s payrolls. With a collective ownership of 140,000 Indigenous shareholders, ANCs employ nearly 50,000 globally and are increasingly investing in international businesses. This panel will explore the ANCs story and share valuable lessons for Indigenous nations worldwide.
