Conference Opening Fireside Chat: Reconciliation and the Role of the Financial Sector

Monday, April 22
8:25am – 8:55am

The influence of Indigenous Nations on the financial sector and the flow of investment in Canada is increasing. Indigenous Nations are using this influence to reclaim their economic power by partnering — and, in some cases, leading — the development of infrastructure and natural resource projects within their territories. Canada’s economic strength relies on our ability to source, price, and fund major capital projects with full and informed Indigenous participation. Join FNMPC Board Chair Chief Sharleen Gale and RBC President and CEO Dave McKay as they discuss the role of the financial sector in advancing economic reconciliation.

Introduction by: Niilo Edwards, CEO, First Nations Major Projects Coalition
