Mark Podlasly will step down as chief executive officer of the First Nations Major Projects Coalition. He will remain in the role until after FNMPC’s conference in April 2027, and the Board of Directors has begun the search for his successor, with the support of an external search firm.
Mark took on the role after the sudden passing of FNMPC’s founding CEO, Niilo Edwards, to steady the organization and provide continuity. He has done that. FNMPC’s membership now stands at 205 First Nations from across the country. The Board is grateful for his leadership, and he has its full support through to April.
FNMPC’s mandate, priorities, and commitments do not change. The organization continues to provide the tools, technical advice, research, and capacity support Nations need as they make their own decisions about major projects in their territories.
The Board will share further information as the search progresses.
