Joshua is the Chief Executive Officer of Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corporation, where he leads a diverse portfolio of businesses, development initiatives, and major projects on behalf of his community, Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc. Guided by the principle that “the economic horse pulls the social wagon,” Joshua is committed to advancing sustainable economic development that creates long-term prosperity while remaining grounded in Secwépemc values, Indigenous law, and community priorities.
Having represented First Nations at all levels in leadership roles with the BC Assembly of First Nations, the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council, the First Nations Youth Council of BC Association, and at Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc, Joshua brings decades of experience in governance and advocacy. This foundation is complemented by an MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership from Simon Fraser University along with his practical experience advancing major economic development, land development, and resource initiatives.
Through his current role, Joshua builds partnerships, negotiates opportunities, and creates pathways for Indigenous participation and ownership in major development initiatives to generate lasting economic benefits for communities.
